Historic Shadow Box
This historic shadow box tells the story of the ivory & ebony that was smuggled into Americas infamous ivory coast. It is backed by vintage sheet music and has an original oil painting depicting the shoreline of a night landing of a smugglers ship flanked by genuine ebony from an 1800's piano. The framed lighthouse painting is from the coast in North Carolina where the ship would have landed and is on genuine ivory from the piano. The last frame in the box has a piece of antique lace, vintage pearls and an old coin to depict some of the other cargo.
